More than 3.000 visitors, more than 300 rose varieties and an interesting 5 day program: this 2nd edition of ROOOZ assembled not only roses from the past, present and future also people of each level of the chain. To take the rose production chain to a higher level, that is the goal of ROOOZ. Good collaboration between the entire chain (from breeder till consumer) is essential. The topic of this edition of ROOOZ: teamwork; was very successful.

Wednesday, 17 June, Frank Ammerlaan, director Rosa Plaza, of course spent attention to this topic during his opening speech: “In our market, which quickly develops and changes, a good cooperation and building bridges has become more and more important. In the whole chain and also in a strong team good communication is essential. How well do you know yourself and how do you adapt your communication to the other person, the start of teamwork.”

On the tribune in the auction of the ‘Historische Tuin’, location of ROOOZ, invites (buyers and salesmen of the top 30 flower buyers which are focused on wholesale business). Who were very enthusiastic after the interactive workshop teamwork of Ruud Donker and Patrick Blauw, The Champion Coach. The invites were approaching their colleagues with new insights.

Buyers Contest
During the ROOOZ Buyers Contest on the auction clock from 1930 the ladies and gentlemen had a lot of fun. Pieter Leegwater of P. Wesseling was the ‘Best ROOOZ Buyer 2015’ award winner. On Thursday during the Open House Trade another Buyers Contest on the nostalgic clock: auctioneers of Plantion and FloraHolland held a competition. Also a unique moment.

The ROOOZ Contest
The stands of the 12 rose breeders, with their presentation of the newest cut roses, were well attended. To compare the latest cut roses next to each other is what makes ROOOZ so unique. At the competition ‘The ROOOZ Contest’ the breeders did present two of their best cultivars in the intermediate as well as T-Hybrid range. Each visitor had had the opportunity to vote for the best latest rose during the Open House for professional audience and the Open House for consumers. Herewith ROOOZ found out which newest rose appeals the most to the trade and to the consumer.

Entire chain brought together
From rose breeder till consumer. They all were there. On Saterday and Sunday during the Open House Consumer a lot of people visited ROOOZ, also thanks to co-operation with the Aalsmeer Flower Festival. Some professional audience came back to visit ROOOZ with their family and friends. And also the exam candidates of the Wellantcollege who prepared the flower arrangements, proudly shown their work to their loved ones.
